Grant Applications

Mosaic believes that caring for older adults is a shared responsibility. Through our Community Grants program, we invest in local organizations and initiatives that bring meaningful, high-quality services directly to seniors and caregivers across South Jersey — from Atlantic County to Cape May County and beyond.
Grants are awarded quarterly. Every dollar stays local, making a direct difference in the lives of older adults and the families who love them.
We welcome applications from nonprofit organizations and community programs serving older adults and caregivers in South Jersey.
Applications for our next round are due May 22.

What We Fund

Mosaic prioritizes funding for programs that are thoughtful, impactful, and clearly defined. Strong proposals connect to one or more of our five priority areas:
  • Alzheimer’s & Dementia Support — programs that engage, stimulate, and support individuals living with memory loss
  • Caregiver Support — resources and relief for the families and caregivers who show up every day
  • Community Connection — initiatives that reduce isolation and foster belonging among older adults
  • Education — programming that informs and empowers seniors, caregivers, and the broader community
  • Quality-of-Life Programming — fitness, creative expression, movement, and wellness for older adults

What Makes a Strong Proposal

  • Clearly define your program — What are you doing? Who are you serving? How often and where?
  • Demonstrate impact — Include the number of people served, expected outcomes, and why it matters
  • Provide a detailed, transparent budget — Itemize all costs; if staffing is included, list role, hourly rate, hours, and total cost
  • Show mission alignment — Connect your program to one or more of Mosaic’s five priority areas
  • Define measurable outcomes — Participant numbers, attendance, engagement, or observed impact
  • Highlight collaboration — Partnerships and existing community infrastructure strengthen your application
  • Show feasibility — Tell us who is running it, the timeline, and any existing support

Common Pitfalls to Avoid

  • Vague program descriptions
  • Lump-sum or unclear budgets
  • Weak connection to Mosaic’s mission
  • Overly ambitious scope without demonstrated support

Final Checklist Before You Submit

  • Impact and outcomes explained
  • Target population identified
  • Detailed budget provided (including staffing breakdowns)
  • Mission alignment demonstrated
  • Program clearly defined
